Intellectual Property Policy

Intellectual Property Policy

Chimerine respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our customers, vendors, and website visitors to do the same. We are committed to responding promptly to valid claims of copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property infringement in accordance with the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), the Trade Marks Act 1995 (Cth), and other applicable Australian law.

This policy explains how to report a concern and what happens after you do.

Our Response Process

When we receive a report of alleged intellectual property infringement, we generally follow this process:

  1. Review - We review the report to confirm it includes the information required below. Incomplete reports may be returned to the sender with a request for additional detail.
  2. Action - If the report appears valid, we will remove or disable access to the reported material in a timely manner, in accordance with our obligations under applicable law.
  3. Notification - Where applicable, we will notify the party who posted or is responsible for the reported material, and provide them an opportunity to respond with a counter-notification as permitted by law.
  4. Counter-Notification - If a valid counter-notification is received, we may restore the material after a reasonable period, unless the original complainant tells us they have started legal proceedings.
  5. Repeat Infringers - We reserve the right to terminate accounts or remove listings belonging to individuals or vendors who are found to be repeat infringers.

We aim to acknowledge all valid reports within 3 business days and to resolve most matters within 10 business days of receiving a complete report.
